“I am a mother of two little girls; Mila age 4 and Finley age 2. I had resigned from my most
recent position as a Special Education Teacher within the Butler School District to stay at home
with my little girls. My husband and I live in the Saxonburg Area with our family. As for
Educational History, I graduated from Indiana University of PA in 2007 with a Bachelors
Degree in Education (Special Education and Elementary Education). Additionally, I have my
Masters in Education, specifically in the area of Reading from Edinboro University.
I had worked at Pressley Ridge Day School from 2007-2009 before being hired by the Butler
School District as a Special Education Teacher from 2009-2018. Within those years of
experience in the classroom setting I taught many students with various disabilities.
Additionally, I taught with many great teachers especially in the area of Language
Arts/English/Reading. I have also taught a variety of social skills groups, learning strategies
classes, and other various courses. I am a strong believer that the ability to read and
comprehend text is the most important skill that you can teach your child in order to become a
life long learner.”
