SUMMER-SUMMER-SUMMERTIME- IS THE TIME FOR FUN AND LEARNING!  

AWE Center is offering summer wellness classes to keep your child(ren) from being bored this summer. Classes offered are great ways to carryover what was learned during the school year and prepare your child for future learning. Each class is taught by licensed therapists and certified teachers who specialize in areas related to specific class.

EACH CLASS IS 6 WEEKS LONG AND COSTS $75

Pre-registration required due to limited class sizes (providing individual attention and following CDC guidelines). Registration open starting May 1st on website or by phone (724) 353-3330

Tuition due prior to the first session of class. Grade level refers to the grade child will be entering in Fall 21-22 school year.

All classes will be held at Advance Wellness and Education Center, 105 S.Pike Rd, Sarver PA 16055 except for LETS BIKE AND PLAY BALL held at Winfield Twp Community Park, Brose Rd, Cabot, PA 16023

 

 

READY TO LEARN  (Grades K-1)      June 17-July 29      Thursday 9-10 am

Children entering Kindergarten and first grade will enjoy activities addressing handwriting, literacy and math skills needed to be successful in school.

 

FUN WITH PHONEMES (Grades K-2)     July 26-August 30       Monday 5-6 pm

Children entering Kindergarten to second grade will participate in activities focusing on phonemic awareness. Activities will reinforce skills for letter to sound recognition, rhyming, segmenting and blending sounds, and sight words, to help address early reading skills.

 

PRINTING BOOTCAMP  (Grades K-1)    July 14-August 18       Tuesday 3:30-4:30 pm

                                                (Grades 2-4)    July 14-August 18      Wednesday 4:00-5:00 pm

This class will reinforce printing skills tailored to individual needs of the students following the LEARNING WITHOUT TEARS curriculum.

 

LETS BIKE AND PLAY BALL (AGES 5-10)     June 14-July 19      Monday 6:30 – 8:00 pm   (Winfield Twp Community Park)

Children will work on improving skills for riding a bike and playing ball. Instructors will help to remove training wheels, provide ideas/suggestions to allow children to be successful with pedaling. Children will have fun and build confidence handling a ball through throwing, catching, kicking and dribbling skills. CHILDREN MUST BRING BIKE AND HELMET. 

 

READERS THEATRE  (Grades 4-6)        June 17-July 29         Thursday 11:15 am-12:00 pm

Students will practice from a script, create a set, act and record for the readers theater by the end of summer.

 

CREATIVE COFFEE SHOP  (Grades 5-7)      June 17-July 29        Thursday  12:45-1:30 pm

Students will enjoy a “coffee shop” like atmosphere while working on their creative writing skills. Students will pick a few of their own one of a kind pieces to be published into an end of summer book for all to keep.
